The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be yours.” Luke 4:5-7

Many of us are like me, may be for you it’s not how you were tricked into alcohol but something else, your first sexual encounter that broke your virginity resulted into a series of serial sexual encounters, that now affects your marriage because you cant keep it zipped. Your first lie has degenerated into a life full of lies and you can’t help it even when there is really nothing to lie about. I don’t know that story but you know it, and as you have read mine, you were also reflecting on yours, and what I know is that you were tricked just like me and you are in bondage if you haven’t moved out of it and this book is definitely for you to really get the ways on how to get yourself out of the bondage.

The story in Luke is probably the most detailed account of Satan’s rebellion, and it shows his desire to make himself like the Most High, and by trying to trick me you and us into building his army is one of his avenues and many of us as human kind are deep in that trick and are crying out on getting out of the mess after realizing it was all a trick.

The Devil Thoughts

All conscious acts, creative ones, righteous ones, or evil ones are born from our thoughts. There never has and never will be a willful act that did not first begin as a thought. Thoughts originate from three sources from within us, from the promptings of the Holy Spirit, and from the evil sources around us provided by Satan and his hosts.

The importance of our thoughts, cannot be emphasized enough. As bible tells us: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” – Prov. 23:7. During his earthly ministry, the Lord taught that for us to lust in our hearts is a serious sin. We must, therefore, learn to recognize the source of our thoughts and control them accordingly. If we truly love the Lord, we will want to control our thoughts. Indeed there can be no deep spiritual progression until we are able to discipline our own minds.

Whatever your story is, rest assured there is a way out, but you must commit to take the step, walk the journey and take the devil head on. If you will not commit to this consistently then you will not achieve what you really are looking at getting out of the devil bondage.

This is an excerpt from my upcoming book – “taking the Devil Head On” watch out for its launch soon!
